Opt for the 'Set Achievement Level' scoring system, which allows multiple entries in each class to attain a Gold Medal, provided they meet or exceed the established gold standard criteria. Alternatively, you can adopt a ranking system reminiscent of the Olympic Games, awarding Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, or using a traditional First, Second, and Third place designation.

Contest Settings

Begin by entering your contest's name and specific details, then proceed to define the various sections and classes for judging. If preferred, you can utilize the default list provided for a quick setup. CONTEST MASTER also allows you to personalize your contest by uploading your own logo, sponsor logos, and any essential documents. This feature provides you with complete control to tailor the competition to your exact standards and preferences, ensuring a contest experience that is both unique and professionally organized.

Competitors

Experience effortless competitor registration with our streamlined entry process. Initiate by effortlessly entering key details such as the competitor's name or company, along with their address and other essential information. Once your competition goes live, competitors can seamlessly engage by registering and uploading their details through our intuitive, user-friendly platform.

This straightforward approach ensures that all necessary information is captured efficiently. Following their submission, competitors will simply await your confirmation, completing their entry into the competition. Our system is designed to make the entire process of competitor enrollment as smooth and hassle-free as possible, both for organizers and participants.

Sections, Classes, and Subclasses

CONTEST MASTER: The Competition Management System offers a dynamic and user-friendly platform for categorizing competition entries. This system is designed to facilitate the organization of entries into distinct sections, classes, and subclasses, providing a structured and clear framework for competition management. Users have the complete flexibility to customize these categories to suit the specific needs of their event, ensuring a tailored and efficient sorting of entries.

Moreover, to assist in the setup, CONTEST MASTER also includes a variety of pre-designed templates. These templates serve as an instant starting point for users, enabling the quick and efficient establishment of sections, classes, and subclasses, with the option for further customization.

We offer a downloadable custom EXCEL workbook template, which provides users with the flexibility to input their specific section, class, and subclass details. After personalizing and saving the template on their local system, users can effortlessly upload it to our platform. Our intuitive interface will then auto-populate the corresponding fields, streamlining the data entry process for enhanced user convenience.

Entries

CONTEST MASTER meticulously organizes each competitor's entries, ensuring they are recorded individually for easy tracking and management. Select competitors from a comprehensive list, and benefit from our system's capability to automatically generate unique entry numbers. These numbers can be assigned sequentially, randomly, or even manually entered from your custom list, offering you complete flexibility in organizing your contest.

Competitors can also use our system to produce labels with barcodes for their entries allowing easy tracking and organisation for the competitor and administrators. Upon receiving and processing all entries through CONTEST MASTER, a single click is all it takes to produce a 'Judges List' for each class. To uphold the highest standards of fairness and integrity, all competitor details are omitted from these lists, guaranteeing a fully blind and impartial judging process.

Marking

Upon completion of their evaluations, judges need to record the scores for each entry. CONTEST MASTER streamlines this process, making it exceptionally efficient and user-friendly. Judges have the option to input their scores directly through a dedicated section, or alternatively, administrators can input the marks if preferred. The process is straightforward: simply enter the unique Entry Number into a search box, press enter, and then input the score.

Once all evaluations are complete, a 'Calculate Mark' feature is available to process all scores in accordance with the set judging criteria, culminating in the final results. Our system offers full customization of the marking process, allowing you to tailor the contest to your specific requirements. In our commitment to ensure fairness and impartiality, no competitor information is displayed during the score entry phase, maintaining the integrity of the judging process.

Grouping

CONTEST MASTER is designed with versatility in mind, offering customizable grouping options to perfectly align with the specific needs of your contest or show. For international competitions, consider groupings by country, or opt for state, region, or city categorizations for national events. Local competitions can benefit from club or district groupings. The flexibility of our system allows you to introduce any grouping criteria that best fits your event.

Best of Class and Best of Show

CONTEST MASTER skillfully organizes and displays all entries from each class, prioritizing them by the highest score achieved. In the event that two entries within the same class garner identical scores, our system facilitates a re-evaluation process by the judges to determine the superior entry.

Once the 'Best' entry is selected, it is distinctly marked in the system for convenient reference. Our system ensures a seamless and efficient approach to handling tie situations, maintaining the integrity and excellence of the competition.

Judges

Enlisting judges into our system is a streamlined process, achievable either manually or via email invitation. Upon registration, judges gain access to a personalized judging dashboard, displaying all their assigned entries in an organized table format. This interface facilitates the efficient allocation of scores to the respective entries. Moreover, the system conveniently tracks and displays the scores previously assigned by the judges, ensuring transparency and ease of reference throughout the judging process.

Our system empowers competition administrators with the flexibility to establish judging criteria tailored to their contest’s unique requirements. This can be meticulously configured for individual sections or applied as a universal standard across the entire contest. Additionally, our platform simplifies the incorporation of award classifications such as gold, silver, and bronze, along with their respective point values and thresholds, to align with the specific objectives of your contest.

Established in 1985, the BJCP boasts a robust network spanning over 60 countries, with a cadre of more than 7,500 active judges. The certification process entails a rigorous examination that encompasses the technical facets of brewing, global beer styles, the BJCP’s mission, and judging protocols, complemented by a demonstration of practical judging acumen. Judges attain their ranks through a combination of their examination performance and accrued judging experience. Our system automatically generates and dispatches emails for key events, including the approval of competitors, and invitations for judges and administrators. These emails conveniently contain direct links, guiding recipients to the relevant sections within our system with ease.

Furthermore, our platform includes a dedicated email service that enables competitors and judges to effortlessly contact contest administrators. This feature provides a straightforward channel for inquiries and support, ensuring all participants have access to the information and assistance they require for a smooth contest experience.

Reports

CONTEST MASTER The Competition Management System now features an advanced reporting module, meticulously designed to provide comprehensive insights into every aspect of contest organization. With its ability to aggregate data and present detailed summaries, the system efficiently tracks and displays key metrics such as entry totals, award distributions, and performance averages by section. The intuitive grouping and filtering capabilities allow for seamless analysis of competition results, ensuring organizers and participants can easily access tailored, in-depth information.

Our platform is fully compatible with BJCP competitions, offering seamless integration capabilities. We provide a feature that allows for the automatic transmission of all essential data in XML format directly to the BJCP for their competition organizer reports. Additionally, our system is designed to automatically dispatch two copies of the required data to the designated BJCP administrators, in accordance with the official competition guidelines.

Additionally, users have the flexibility to print these reports directly from the platform or save them as PDF files, offering convenient options for documentation and sharing. We are pleased to announce the availability of a CSV file export feature, encompassing all pertinent data from your competitions. This enhancement allows for comprehensive data analysis and integration with your existing reports or systems, ensuring a seamless work-flow experience.

Pricing

At CONTEST MASTER, we employ a straightforward pricing system, designed for the convenience of both contest administrators and competitors allowing you, the contest organiser, to setup your own fee structure. This includes setting a per-competitor charge, and a per entry fee. We charge a nominal activation fee for each contest, and a licensing fee (waived to encourage non-profits). Subscribe NOW to receive ongoing reduced rates for contest activation and licensing. Setting up your contest on our platform is complimentary, and once the activation fees are settled, you can immediately begin accepting and approving competitors. For ease of transactions, we utilise Stripe and PayPal, known for their user-friendly and secure payment processing. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free financial experience, allowing you to focus on running a successful contest.

CONTEST MASTER ensures a transparent and fair pricing structure for the fees determined by the contest organiser, which include the competitor registration fee and the per entry fee. Our platform retains a small portion of these fees, starting at a minimum of $1.00 NZD for the competitor registration and $0.75 NZD for each entry. The exact percentage retained by CONTEST MASTER is modestly adjusted based on the fee set by the competition organiser, with a discount applied as your charges increase.
